Debbie Celado isn’t afraid to go first. Throughout her career, she has created new strategies, new jobs and new departments from scratch. Debbie also isn’t afraid to be held accountable for results, setting bold goals that push herself, her team and her company forward, and making it all happen by inspiring and collaborating with others.
Since her first job as a college recruiter at John Hancock to now serving as Head of Employer Brand & Recruitment Marketing for The Americas at Philips, Debbie’s career has been in continuous pursuit of ‘better’ — finding better approaches to achieving business results, and connecting people to opportunities that change their lives for the better. The ‘aha moment’ in her career was learning about an emerging discipline that applied marketing strategies to recruiting. Debbie pursued recruitment marketing with a passion and pioneered this strategy and this role for companies including Partners HealthCare and Citizens Bank.
Today, Debbie is continuing to push the boundaries of recruitment marketing and employer branding through creatively leveraging B2B and B2C marketing strategies and technologies to help companies build future-ready workforces. She also actively helps other professionals discover and develop their careers in recruitment marketing through mentoring, participation in community groups and public speaking.
